Teaching and Academic Management are being highlighted as areas of strength.
The school is located on Bow Road, a stone's throw from Elisabeth Park, home to the London 2012 Olympics, and the surroundings of Mile End Park.
Bow is a vibrant, cosmopolitan area, full of life and never boring. A great place to study and explore.
Britannia School is well-connected to central London by many bus routes, the underground and the DLR.
The excellent transport links also mean that you can get to the fashionable bars, clubs and cafes of nearby Shoreditch easily as well as all the famous markets of East London, and enjoy the dynamic atmosphere of the City of London, the main financial district of the capital, where business is done and deals are made every day.
Then there’s Roman Road Market – you can buy so may things there – fresh fruit and vegetables, clothes and fashion, rare and specialist music, furniture and household goods and electronics, or just relax and take in the colourful atmosphere, sounds and smells of delicious food on sale – or enjoy the best fish’n chips and pie’n mash in London, which are local speciality dishes. It’s a great day out on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
You can relax in the beautiful Mile End Park, with its radically-designed Green Bridge, and also Victoria Park a little further north. The area has a rich diversity of Victorian architecture styles and the Victorian history of this area can be explored by just walking the streets or in more depth by visiting the Ragged School Museum in the district. Or relax by the many waterways if you would like to go for a picnic or have a drink there!
